Air duct cleaning is one of the best things that you can do to save money in your home or office. Twenty five to forty percent of the energy used for heating and cooling is wasted by an underperforming system. The dirtier your system is, the harder it is for it to do its job of heating and cooling your home or office. Fiberglass filters do help but the United States Environmental Protection agency (EPA) states that they are only about seven percent effective in removing mold spores, viruses, bacteria, and other allergens.

Air duct cleaning is a routine practice in most homes in America. This is so because these people have experienced and understand the benefits. It does help in keeping the air inside homes clean and keeps allergies away. One of the major benefits that these people have observed is lower utility bills. How does duct cleaning save energy? Well, dust and other debris accumulated in the duct works as an insulator and the machine has to work harder to change the indoor temperature. If the ducts are clean, this process is faster and the machine works less.

Sometimes dirt is obvious because we see it. Yet, we don’t always see it. But that does not means it’s not there. It can be hidden out of sight in our air ducts. Let’s face it; we spend most of our time indoors. And during this time, we are constantly breathing in the air that is circulated through our air ducts; our dirty air ducts! Everyone in the home can be affected by poor air quality. Children, elderly, and individuals with respiratory problems suffer the most. Poor indoor air quality is one of the top five environmental risks to public health according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (E.P.A.). Your home inhabitants can get extremely sick from breathing in mold spores, fungi and bacteria often found in our air ducts. But waiting until someone gets sick, means that the entire family has already been exposed to these harmful particles. Standard furnace filters simply are not effective in eliminating these harmful substances from our air.

Air Ducts are not something most people spend a lot of time thinking about. They fall into the out of site out of mind category. Even immaculately clean homes can have dirty air ducts. Consider for a moment that the air in your home, the air you and family breath everyday, flows through your heating and cooling air ducts.

Data from the Environmental Protection Agency states that the indoor air quality of American homes may be seventy percent more polluted than the outside air. When you couple that astonishing number with the fact that we spend most of our time indoors, it becomes more important than ever to make sure that the air our families breathe is clean, fresh and healthy.

Flowers are growing, trees are getting new leaves and dandelions seem to be a part of the many lawns. We all like most of the signs of spring. However for many people this also means the start of another season, allergy season. When the trees bloom and the grass grows that brings pollen and other particles into our home. No one likes to have to deal with itchy eyes, runny noise or the sneezing fits. Having your air ducts cleaned is one way that you can relieve some of your allergy symptoms. The air ducts in your home are one of numerous ways in which air-borne contaminants spread all through your house. Unclean ductwork contains airborne dirt and dust, dander, and often, mildew. These types of ingredients are recognized to bring about allergic reactions in many of individuals. For some people dirty air ducts trigger year round allergic reactions. Think about how often in a 24 hour period your heating system or air conditioning is being used. The last thing you want is poor indoor air quality in your home causing unnecessary allergic reactions.
